BRISBANE, Jan 13 AAP - With just 26 days to go before the Queensland election there
was little time to probe the Beattie government's financial record, the state's peak business
body said today.

Premier Peter Beattie today interrupted his holiday to call an election for February
7, allowing just weeks for interest groups to lobby the government ahead of the poll.
