Vic: Protesters say loggers attacked camp

MELBOURNE, Feb 22 AAP - One anti-logging protester was in hospital and two others were
injured in clashes with loggers in eastern Victorian forests overnight, the protesters
said today.

Aboriginal elder Robbie Thorpe said up to 50 loggers attacked the protesters in Goolengook
forest at a long-standing, peaceful East Gippsland protest camp about 1.30am (AEDT).

The loggers say protesters jumped on their car and tried to punch the driver.

Mr Thorpe said the protesters' camp was smashed and an ambulance was called to the
