VH1 and VH1.com today announced that Metallica has joined the line-up of performers at the inaugural "My VH1 Music Awards," airing live on VH1, November 30th at 9:00 PM (ET). Metallica joins U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Creed, Christina Aguilera, and Bon Jovi to perform at the first ever fully interactive music awards show.
As a special online bonus, Metallica fans will choose the song the band will perform at the "My VH1 Music Awards" through VH1.com. Online voting for the song starts online this week and runs through the night of the show. The final "My VH1 Music Awards" categories were selected by more than one million fans through VH1.com, and include such unique fan-suggested categories as "Most Entertaining Public Feud" and "Your Song Kicked Ass But Was Played Too Damn Much" as well as the standards like "Song of the Year" and "Woman of the Year."
