I live on Rolla road, Bur Dubai and I am going slowly insane through sleep deprivation. Dubai is a cosmopolitan city and NOT a village in the hills somewhere that only has dirt tracks instead of a proper road system. From 6am in the morning until 1am every day of the week, it's chaos!Aa People are actually walking with prams and shopping trolleys down the middle of the road??!! Indicators are unheard of, drivers honk their horns non stop to indicate left, right, straight, I want my shawarma, my laundry, my car fixed or just "move out of the way"!!! They double park on both sides of the road which causes more chaotic driving and MORE noise.Aa To all you selfish and dangerous people that have no respect for the residents on Rolla road...It's a residential road! Traffic travelling in one lane which is driving in one direction, and traffic in the other lane driving in the opposite direction, that's 2 lanes, which every day and night becomes 4 lanes. Where are the police, why are they not policing this area and fining on the spot hundreds of people? Honking a vehicle horn in a residential area is against the law, it is in the RTA road code rules. I suggest that the police get out into the community and deal with these very real and growing problems. These kinds of disturbances would not be permitted in certain areas, my colleagues and friends say it's very peaceful in Jumeirah and Umm Sequiem, where parking is free and silence is expected. Do something about this noise please.
Very vexed
