Vic: Victorian training to resume this morning

Thoroughbreds will resume training at the Flemington and Caulfield racecourses early
today .. following the outbreak of equine influenza interstate.

Victorian chief veterinary officer Dr HUGH MILLAR last night gave approval for training
to re-commence at the two suburban Melbourne tracks from 4 o'clock (AEST) this morning.

A Department of Primary Industry spokesman says only horses stabled at the racecourses
.. or at specified stables they can be walked from .. can train today.

The control order banning the transport of horses remains in place until Friday at 1pm (AEST).
